Hello lovelies & welcome to the Garden of Myra! My name is Myra Olivia Meade, I’m 20. I am a sophomore at East Tennessee State University. My major is microbiology and a minor in women’s studies. I am in the pre-med program because I am going to be an Obstetrician/Gynecologist. I have 4 little brothers that I have helped raise. I have grown up in a low income family so a lot of my blog posts will include ways to save money while still getting great items! I am currently a caretaker for kids and adults with disabilities and a CNA at a nursing home. I have struggled with trying to be perfect for years, but through learning more and developing my relationship with God and Jesus, I have discovered that imperfection is beautiful and it should be embraced.
I started this blog to help others and myself navigate through life. The name ‘Garden of Myra’ is a spin on the well known Garden of Eden. The Garden of Eden began as a place of perfection in life- but in the Garden of Myra, nothing is perfect, no matter how it may seem. Here, we celebrate every imperfection and difference. Thank you for accompanying me on this journey we call life!
